Guided Warmup

The idea of a guided warmup is to give a structure to the practice routine. It also helps students develop confidence in pitch and rhythm through imitation.

There is a 5 minute audio track in which the student hears me play a note or rhythm, then copies it. It is all notated, so they have music to read along with. It covers a range of important techniques (like any good practice routine should), and if performed regularly as part of the practice routine will strengthen these techniques. The student would play along with this for 5 minutes, then proceed with practicing their solo and/or band music, making a good regular routine.

If there is a demand, I can make more of these, becoming progressively more difficult but for now I’ll start with the first 5 notes. Let me know if you are enjoying using this!
